Bad PCM?

My tuner told me my PCM "locked" up a while back. I bought a used one, plugged it in, and tried to start it. Fired up then died, over and over.
At first I thought it was just cold, nope. I tried to give it gas as soon as it fired, it was as if my throttle was not even there.
The fans came on as soon as I turned the key on and didn't turn off.
I hooked up a Snap On scanner, the kind with a big readout and tells you exactly what to do. Could not communicate with PCM. I hook up the ol' Scanmaster, it powers up when I turn the key and thats it.

any ideas?

It sounds like a VATS problem. However one thing you can try is to have it flashed with the correct calibration for your VIN. If you have a means of programming it I can send you a calibration for your VIN. Just send me your VIN and I can email a calibration to you. The other way is to take it to a GM dealership and have them flash it.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. I have since sent that PCM back.
I'm waiting for my original PCM to come back(fixed) from AKM. If I have problems with that one, I may need a file.

Thanks
