? with gt 100 and detonation

I usualy run 93 octane , still I get some detonation, think my valve guide seals are the problem, oil getting in the combust ion chambers , will this cause me to have detonation? but when I put in some sunoco gt 100 it stoped , timing is at 34 @wot 4000 to 5000 &33.5 @5500 to 7000, should I try to remove some timing , and I hear of people talking about static compression ratio ,and dynamic compression ratio, my static is 11.4 to 1 w/ hot cam, dont know my D/C ratio, and here are my ? 1 if oil get's in the combust chamberswill it cause detionation,w/93 octane 2 is 34 & 33.5 degrees timing @ wot enough? 3 why does the detionation go away w/GT 100, eaven w/ the valve guides leaking? 4 is the comp ratio w/ hot cam too much for 93 , thank to anyone who helps me

I can at least help you with the leaking valve stem issue. oil will reduce the octane of gas thus it will combust sooner and hence KR. If it is true knock it should have gone away when you added 100 octane.

what RPM's is the knock occuring?

well it was giving kr all over , normal driving 1800 rpm , to wot it seemed that it was worse @ 3500 to 5000 , from 5000 up it was'nt as much , was thinking on removeing some more timing ( I have tunercat) is this a good idea?

Unfortunately, finding your KR may be a matter of trial and error. I for one was getting large amounts of KR until I recalibrated my MAF. My car was running lean in the upper RPM's and that was causing the knock.

Maybe you do have too much timing for your car. However, I would check fueling first to make sure that is correct.
