autoxray vehicle not rersponding when clearing codes

autoxray vehicle not rersponding when clearing codes
I got my Autoxray EZ scan 3000 yesterday and it reads and monitors codes just fine but when I attempt to clear codes it says "Vehicle not responding" and I can't clear them. Anybody seen this before?
