When using Autotap on my 97Z. it has a 4L60E tranny...when autotap is displaying the current gear..... whats the #s it uses to describe the gears

1 reverse/1st. 2=2nd 3=3rd 4=???

is 4 4th? i see it shifts into 4 when i let off the gas, is that Neutral? if 4 is neutral.......then whats OD?

 

Strange... my 93 reports the same stuff even though it's a non electronic tranny. I'm pretty sure the numbers are corresponding to the right gear though and I don't think the tranny ever shifts into "neutral", it will just stay in 4th...(because otherwise you would just rev the car instead of moving if you were to push the gas pedal again...mine just stays in 4th if I accelerate slowly, so it cannot be neutral)
