AKM Cable, Free Scan, can't connect?!

I have a "spliced" 94' LT1 harness, It doesn't have the connector, but from what I understand I have 2 data port cables

(E Tan)

(F Tan) <-- Tried this one

I can't seem to get my AKM Cable w/free scan or any other program to find the PCM. I've tried splicing the white/red and grounding the black. I've tried hooking up just the red and grounding black.. Every time I try to connect I get "Can't Connect" I've tried com1-4.. ect..

To run you threw my process. Plug in Cable, turn on computer. Hook up AKM cable ends to harness, and ground. Turn on ignition key, Launch application. Hit Connect.
I've tried

FreeScan -Does Nothing
PCMC - Says "can't connect"
PCMREAD - Tries to establish connection.. nothing happens

What am I missing?

Is it serial or USB? If USB, your going to need to make sure the driver is installed properly and that no other device is using the resources for the 1-4 COM ports. Otherwise, you'll get no communication.

If its serial, get another serial cable. I just had a similiar problem where my dedicated-wired cable in my Z28 would not work properly but my OBD1-moulded cable would just fine. Turned out to be the serial cable that connects the laptop to the converter. They are only about $7 at any local computer store. If that doesn't work, it sounds like you've done everything right on the harness side. I'd start looking at your converter.

First thing is you said you had a 1994. Both of the descriptions you list above that are from my site are 1995 and 1995-1997.

1994 does not even have a C105.

You need to look at the C200 for a 1994 (though, the tan serial data wire is in the same place) .

Ok so now I am really confused. I just assumed you didn't have 94 data on your site for C105.... Basically I had to run a 93-94 opti, and my but my IAC is 94-95.. I do have that C105, but from everything else all signs to point a 94 harness. I originally thought I had a 95 which why I marked up all your 95 images with my info when I was figuring things out.. but when I went to replace my opti I had to use a 93-94 opti which lead me to believe I had a 94 harness/PCM.. thoughts?

Why not start at the PCM, using the tan wire on pin D30 (serial data out)?
