Air Bank Fault?!?!

Hey guys. I posted this in the LS1 tech section, then realized posting here would of been more appropriate. I am running a Diablo Sport Predator tune in my 2001 Z28 auto. My mods are in my sig. Lately, I have been getting the error code "air bank fault". This makes the SES light come on. Power seems to be affected big time. Can anyone here tell me what this is a result of? Thanks for youre time.......-Matt-

Do you have the exact code, in the form Pxxxx? Could it possibly be either P1415 or P1416, which identify problems with the AIR system on Bank 1 and Bank 2, respectively?

Yeah, I recall seeing those two codes. Im not sure if it was 1415 or 1416 though. I cleared the code recently, so I cant go back and check. What does this code mean?

Re: Air Bank Fault?!?!

I just got a PO 1416 on my '98 Formula right after I installed an SLP LM exhaust. What causes this and how can I fix it?

Re: Air Bank Fault?!?!

Wow, old thread. Had the same code and my passenger side air check valve was clogged, replaced it (GM PN 12565503) or one from a local parts store - about $15. Easy to do yourself, it's the black disc shaped valve between the metal air pipe coming off the exhaust/then connects to the air hose just above the #4 cyl coil pack.
