Adapter for OBD1 cable to OBD2 system???

I bought a cable from AKM several years ago and use it on my 94 Z28 6 speed. I just bought a 01 Z28 6 speed and it looks like you have to buy the LS1Edit package to get a cable. I'd like to have a cable just to do logging for right now. Is there any kind of adapter that can me made to adapt my OBD1 cable for use on my 2001 car?

Thanks,
Glenn

There is no way to do this, unfortunately. It's not even remotely possible.

Fortunately it can be done. At least on the LT1's. You can make them work on either 12 to 16 pin or 16 to 12 pin. Let me know what your LS1 connection is and I'll send you the pics.

He's not asking how to make the OBD2-style ALDL connector work with an OBD1-style ALDL connector or vice versa, he's asking if he can make an OBD1 converter work with OBD2 PCM. While the former is easy to do with a couple wires, spades, and clips, the latter is not possible at all.

My bad, I thought he just needed to line up the pins. Good Luck.
