actron scanner cp9145 any good ?

autozone has this for 198 on sale and its 30 for the obd1 cable. Anyone have this? I have a 95 but hope to have a 00 someday. Is this scanner any good, or a waste of $$?? thanks...

I have that unit and it works for a generic fault detector. It will only scan the engine computer though. If you have an ABS or Body Module problem, then this unit is useless. But, it will allow you to pull trouble codes for the motor without having to go through the hassle of going to the Autozone. I would check ebay though, you will find it much cheaper.

I have one and like it well. What is nice is that it reads my 95 OBDI with the OBDII ALDL as well as all other OBDII computers. The cp9135 that AutoZone uses to check cars will not do this. I got mine straight up for $186 from eBay so I think you're looking at a good deal IMHO.
