Accel Starting Problem

Having a starting problem with my Accel Gen7. When you try to start the car, it acts like the timing is way advanced. I have been over the file and cannot see any mistakes, timing is 30 degrees throughout the table. Not sure what controls starting timing, but it seems like to me it's getting more timing somewhere. 406 Chevy Small Block, Gen7, MSD Distributor. Any help appreciated

I might be wrong but I believe you need need to sync up your distributor with your computer. Set the computer to force the ignition to a set number (say 10 degrees) and the timing light should confirm that it is at 10. If it is different you need to change the ignition offset until it matches. I know most systems require you to do this and I was glancing at an Accel manual earlier today and seem to recall that procedure.
