96 LT1 TA issue (Diagnostics)
96 LT1 TA issue (Diagnostics)
I am having a bit of a conundrum here. I recently installed a T56 in my car (originally an Auto) and I have a check engine light. When I open Jet DST and try to go to the Diagnostics tab I am unable to as its grayed out. I want to turn off the things related to the Auto to turn the CEL off. Now when I go to the program for my 01 Z71 I can change the diagnostics. Does anyone know why I don't have access to the diagnostics?
Thanks in advance.

Post has been sitting a day so I'll just add my $0.02 to stir up some action... I know with ODB1 you need a different PCM base code to when converting from an A4 to an M6. Quite a few tables are different and lots of tables (tranny shift, TCC, pressure, etc) are no longer applicable. However I'm not that familial with the early OBD2 (96-97) Lt1 F-Body PCM code. Maybe someone with more experience on this can add some info.
Negatory ghostrider, I took the skipshift and reverse lockout out and redid the VSS tables for my gears and tranny. Honestly all I want to do is turn the light off as I drive the car 1000-1500 miles a year. In texas when you get an inspection if they see that light it fails most of the time (depending on who does it). Everything that I read and from experience with LS1 cars was that you don't have to reflash with and auto to 6spd swap but do with a 6spd to auto.
If I am being a moron please feel free to tell me as it won't hurt my feelings
just help me get back on the path to non-moronville.

Huh? that's not what I posted, as a matter of fact that's the complete opposite of what I meant, sorry if it came across that way. I do want help and didn't want to come across as the super serious guys I read on here, man the internet sucks for reading people lol.

Fred's right. You need to reflash the PCM with an M6 file. I can very likely email you one, let me know if you need it in LT1Edit or Tunercat format.
