95 PCM issues...

I think my PCM is misprogrammed on my 1995 Cyclame Z28 A4 2.73 car, my tach is not working, however all wires appear intact, and i am getting some ohms thru the wires. Also, my trip odo is not working, ASR light is always on(I don't have it) and it revs like a sumbitch in the high ranges, and hits the rev limiter each time. The odd thing is there is no power fall off up until revlimiter...And it will not do a brake stand, and it revvs VERY high while doing a brake stand. I have not opened up the valve covers or anything, and really don't want to. Any suggestions?
I was thinking reflashing the PCM back to stock might help, any ideas how much to expect to pay?

I seriously doubt its the computer, I'd blame sensors or wiring related to those two circuits. Your trip odometer may even just be a cable, if not then its driven off whatever feeds the speed/distance sensor, which is in the transmission.

So if someone wiped everything out with zero values you would not register on the speedometer either.

What I suppose it could be is the wiring harness to the Cluster. All the cluster is controlled by the PCM, which is why I thought it might be that. That and the revving, unlike any stock LT1 I have drivin, without raising teh redline, and this keeps making power up until then.

I guess I should say, i have experience with that...It is not slipping, the tranny is fine. I have had that happen on 2 others...There is NO power falloff after 5K. NONE. It plateus and stays there. No other stock LT1 is like this, that I know of. And just barley perceptable under the typical Flowcrapper drone is the sound every internallly modded LT1 I have ever heard is there. Not so on any previous car. Well, the flowcrapper comes of tomorrow or Monday for a catback, so that should answer that, anyway.

BTW, this car does have RR's of an unknown ratio, and a TQ converter. I didn't install either. I am going to do the headers for my next mod, and then dyno before the 51010 and programming go in.

I suppose it could be the cluster, I will know for sure tomorrow. If you replace the cluster, does it reset the mileage on the dash? This I have never known with these damn roller types. I like the electrical(digital) ones. Much easier to deal with.
