What Heads/Intake to use?
I am building up a new engine for my 75 Camaro. I had a four-bolt main sb bored 40 over and I'm using the old crank(I had it ground.) My new cam has the following specs:
Adv. Duration: 274°/284°
Gross Lift: .442''/.465''
RPM Range: 1600-4600
I have a new timing chain, flowtech headers, and a 670 CFM Holley Street Avenger carb. What heads should I get, and what size Intake Runners and combustion chamber should I get? I also want to get a new intake manifold to compliment it. Of course, I'm looking for the most power I can get and still have it streetable.
Thanks for the help!

With the listed rpm range of your cam, consider vortec heads and a matching dual plane intake. There are companies offering vortecs worked for higher lift. These heads have 64cc chambers, so if you have flat tops (and your engine is a 350), you'll get 10-1. Perhaps too high. If so, look into prolightning heads with 180cc runners and 72cc chambers. You can find them for good prices on the net, but have them checked by a machine shop. Some have received heads that were a little rough.
I was thinking the same thing. Pro Lightning 180cc heads. Enginekits.com sells them for $699 complete. Angel is right, get them checked out before you bolt them on. Also, go with the Performer RPM intake or the Weiand Stealth (might have hood clearance issues though). Good luck!

My vote is for the Vortecs and Performer or Performer RPM intake. Given your cam specs and the fact Edelbrock's Vortec intakes sit up another 3/8" over the rest of their line-up, I'd opt for the Performer. That and the fact hood clearnace with a flat steel hood will become an issue with the RPM intake (I'm going through this right now on my '77 Z/28).
The Vortecs make incredible power for the price. Pretty tough to beat. You do need center bolt valve covers and guided rail rocker arms to run them however.
