Was this a specialty car? I remember only 1 car that had this, and it was one of the 3 dealerships that did specialty cars, not Yenko (or did they do it too?).

You might be thinking of the Motion-Baldwin version. (At least I think those had the exhaust infront of the rear wheels.)

Personally, I think it looks stupid, but to each his own.

you're talking about the exhaust that the pipe runs alongside of the car...thats not what I'm talking about. The only thing that pops out is the actual pipe right infront of the tire.

I have a streetable race car that has exhaust coming out behind the doors right in front of the rear tires on a 1967 SS. If you want to see the pictures just give a holler.

If you check out Stahl's header page they show some road racing side exit pipes. http://www.stahlheaders.com/JpgFiles/m110.jpg
Try this link. http://www.stahlheaders.com/Frame%20New%20RR.htm
Maybe you can fit some bullet mufflers with these side exit pipes and get that TransAm look without the noise.

I remember it allright, it was like the Cobra which had an inline muffler also like the Viper had. It was the Baldwin as mentioned, that is the only one I can recall having this setup.
