What about the 8.2 10 bolt, how much can they handle? I have the same question but would like to run about 450 HP and 3.73 gears.
If I get new axles would I be fine with the 8.2?

I had an 8.2 in my old 67 for a little while. I ran a muncie 4 gear with a mild 355. I ran drag radials with 4.10's. It did not last very long.

With 450 ponies your probably going to break it sooner or later.
