Pontiac TC cover gasket

Is doing a Pontiac timing chain cover gasket (1970 350) as difficult as doing a small block chevy? I've never been able to get those to work without leaking..

it can be a real beatch to do it... most of the time to get the best seal u need to lossen the front of the oil pan... thats the best way to get the best fit.

You're going to need to drain the rad a bit, or atleast be prepared for coolant to go everywhere. Since in a Pontiac the timing chain cover has the water pump attached to it. Also, the timing chaing cover is connected to the oil pan from underneath and the intake manifold (with only one bolt).
