Oil system flush for a 327.

Ok I had a head gasket blow on my 85 s\c that i put a 327 in, and i had to drive it to the place where i could do the repairs, and I have everything off and ready to go back together, but there is alot of that nasty sludge you get when oil and coolant mix... I'm wondering what i can do to flush out the entire oil system to get all that **** out, do they make a kit? how much? what does it do? how long would it take? Thanks for the info!

No need to get carried away. Just clean any visible sludge with rags, solvent, or degreaser, and make sure you prime the engine good before starting. Any small amount of water thats left will burn off when the engine get up to temp.

Excactly, mine steamed a bit out of the exhaust when I fired her up for the first time after a blown head gasket but cleared right up.
