Thumbs up OIl presssure fluctuation/valve tap/vibration=???

OK, engine in question is a small block, .030 over, decent hyd cam. Started out having a valve tap. Oil was changed, valve tap still present. Now oil pressure gage goes nuts while at cruising speed, is bouncing between 50-60 lbs. Has a fairly steady 30 lbs pressure at idle. And now there also seems to be a vibration right before shifting up to next gear. Any ideas?

Thanx,
ubg

Oil pressure moving around could be a loose or fallen off pick up in the pan.

Vibration hard to tell, maybe loose convertor bolts?

Or the pickup is too close to the bottom of the pan.

Don't mean to sound stupid but check the oil sensor / gauge. You could be chasing your tail on something like that.
