I've just had several different engine and car combos, taken virtually everything I've built down the track more than a time or two, and never been able to get a combo like that to run that good.

Take care.

problem
This is one of the reasons I hope he is not just buying my car in hopes of doing consistent runs like I did or going by what she did on the dyno. In my past I was doing the same thing with cars such as 69 vette with the original 427, 72 LT1 z28, 70 chevelle and so on and so forth and found it incredibly difficult to squeeze every last bit of power out of them without trashing the motor. I had pistons blow thru heads; a rod literally smash thru the block; and the worst was the 427 when it almost craked the block in half!! All in all I have had incredibly good luck with 327's in general. I like the fact that they spin high like the 302's do and the use of forged internals. I've only owned 3 other 327's and each one did exactly what I wanted it to do as far as power. I wish I could still afford to buy engines and hook them up but the daughter put a huge damper on that!!

Don't worry Gary, I'm not getting the car to run consistant 11.2s or anything...I'm not much of a racer I've never even taken the TA to the track and that car is in the 12s. Don't worry about me spinning past 6900, it'll never even get close to that.

And, as your PM says, I still want the car

Oh yea, and the body work is cheap because my best friend works in a body shop. I can get the whole car painted($2000+ job) any color for much much less

Well, it should make somewhere in the neighborhood of 380-390 rwhp if it's making 485 at the crank.

Let us know when you get it dynoed. Good luck!
