I got a 68 camaro.
Not much left of it though, i'm having a couple of mods done to it currently so that it will handle a little better, and get good gas milage.

1st gen cars

Hi -

I'm finishing up a beautiful '69 Camaro SS/RS Convertible pace car.
The original eng. was long gone, so we built a lingenfelter 383 with aluminum L-98Corvette heads! The engine made 460hp & 480ft lbs on Lingenfelters dyno! The body was cherry to start with, W/53K miles, but the whole subframe got stripped & powder coated, all new suspension, entire engine compartment stripped & re-painted,etc. the thing looks new when you open the hood, I also re-did the functional cowl hood, and RS lights, so everything works good. Topped it off with a vintage air A/C unit that looks factory!. I do need one thing though, does anybody know where I can get a factory center dash A/C vent? I don't care if it's NOS or repro, but it does have to be new, or exc. condition. Thanks. This car belongs to a friend, and he has my '68 Nova in his garage untill I get his car finished. We should be driving & tuning next week!!

Is this what you're looking for?

I don't know how reputable that company is though.

Yes, that was the exact part I need! I e-mailed them to see if it's available yet, the ad said coming soon, and was dated Sept. 2001
Thanks Jacki, are you trying to be my new best friend? you're definately going about it the right way!

As the name says, I have a 67 Firebird with the LT1 treatment. As the sig says, this car is not stock, and may be going in to get all the body work and paint job done this winter. Fingers crossed on getting the funds together.

Not yet, so I called them today, they said it was backordered for 60 days, then they will have plenty.

Good thing you aren't going overboard with that project.
