How much horsepower big block and 6.71/8.71

After pricing out parts starting to wonder if this big block idea is worth it..I could pop a blower on my pontiac 400 but still likely go chev. So big block guys...the plan..8 to 1 compression ratio.edelbrock
oval port big block heads..blower/nos type cam. 4 bolt main, steel crank and good rods and of course forged pistons..
for gas have only 91 octane available but other blower buddies run toluene or xylene added . I can run water/alcohol injection if that helps. So what kind of hp numbers at what boost psi's..and not sure if a 8.71 is worth it over a 6.71..not much price difference though. Obviously run headers and 3 inch exhaust. Also what 1/4 mile times to expect..on say et streets..probably 3.42 or so gears..maybe a 2500 stall..I am competing again buddy with a 383 lt1 enigine and 15 psi ati procharger with 3.73 gears and a manual trans..can my above combo beat him..???.I know small blocks work good too and are quite a bit cheaper but monster torque is fun and I already have my nos powered cammed/long tubed ls1 pushing 450 at the engine not including 100 shot or so of nos.
