Doesn't the Mallory 3 port come with an assortment of springs designed for different pressure ranges (which you then fine-tune with the screw)?

Get in touch with their tech support guys. I think you just need a different spring that will work in a slightly higher pressure range.

Wouldn't it be nice to find out it was something that simple?
