Sub-Frame Conectors
Sub-Frame Conectors
I just got a 67 RS/SS camaro that i am starting a full restoration of and am looking for some subframe connectors. what is everyone using, like/dislike. i am new to the 1st gen camaro's but now a bunch about the 3rd gen camaro's, so im not completely new to these cars.
I installed the ones sold by Detroit Speed and Engineering. It does require cutting the floor and welding them in. They tuck up into the floor so they are not noticable when viewing the car from the side.

Competition Engineering makes a set of bolt-on and a set of weld-on subframe connectors. I have a set of bolt-on connectors on my car, and they work great. The bolt right into the stock rear and front frame mounting locations, so they're pretty painless to get on. Summit sells them for like $80-$100 depending on the type you buy.
I have a 2nd gen but I use South Side Machine weld ins they fit without any mods and can not be seen unless you get down on the ground and look. I also used there lift bars and I have absolutely no wheel hop so I guess those did there job well too.
