Today I put the new weatherstrip in the doors of my 73 Camaro, and then the doors don't close. It's as if the rubbers of weatherstrip were too big, and they pressure the door with the frame an the door don't close.
What can I do? I think in cut a little of rubber, but not that to do...
I bought the weatherstrip at Classic Industries. It can be that the rubber is too hard?

Did you just put it on the door or on the body as well. If you put it on the body around the roof and didnt get it in the channel all the way your doors wont close. But if you did it correctly and your doors are not sagging then just shut them and let it sit over the winter and they will start to work better. I had to slam my doors and now a year later they shut like a new car. Good luck.
Chances are everything is okay, but we had that same problem with my dad's '73!
I know it seems like you slam the door shut and it may only catch on the first "click" shut, but give 'er a good slam shut so the door latches completely and leave it for awhile............they eventually "break-in" so that the doors will close easily, but seal well
.

Problem continue..... the doors still don't close well.
Yesterday I check out a 70 Firebird of a friend, he bought the weatherstreep in Year-One, and his rubber is very soft than mine.
Finaly I will buy a new weathers in Year-One if I want to close the door well anytime.
Thaks for all replys.

when we install the door rubber on any the chevys were working on we usually run masking tape to "pull" then down. Once the gasket sealer dry's we then take off the tape and close the door and leave the doors shut ofr a few days....
It works on the Impala's we do.....

Mine were pretty hard to close for a while after I got my new weather stripping, and I couldn't just let the car sit for a while because it was my daily driver at the time. Eventually it was fine, though. It may just take a while to get softened up.
