what is the largest engine you can swap into a first gen camaro with out completely customizing the entire engine bay? i plan on making a show car with the ***** to back up the looks soon, but i need to get a list going of what is going to comprise my car. so what engines will fit with minro mods or none? Boss 502? 454? etc.

I think you can get after market blocks upto 632cuin that will bolt in just like a original 396. GM makes a 572 crate engine that would make it cook.

Boss 502??? Do you mean ZZ502?

You could also go with a big cubed small block. World Products makes a 600+ HP NA 454 cid sbc that would easily fit.

Heck, if you have the money you can build a big block that is well over 700 cubic inches. Of course you may need some slight "chassis reinforcment" to handle it.
