Engine Bay Harness....

Wire to distributor is getting hot.

Would a resistor make sense rather than replacing the engine bay harness? How long would it take to replace the wiring harness?

The wire between the coil and the distributor? Let me guess, electronic ignition with aftermarket high output coil?

We thnk its shorting out. My "fuel pump" problem described in another post, is likely an electrical issue with the wire to the distributor.

We are going to replace that first and see how it goes.

My experience with this car should be a textbook for new owners not knowing what they are doing - like me.

You guys have given me great advise.
