Is this ebay Dart 434ci too good to be true??

This same seller has been listing these for over a year because I keep looking at them. I'm afraid I'm gonna break down and buy one but it just looks too good to be true. Wouldn't $3700 bucks be way too cheap for an all-forged Dart block'd 434ci engine or am I just not adding it all up right? Haven't looked lately but I think his feedback is pretty good. Tell me what you think: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Sounds like a good price, but not suspicious. Keep in mind, you'd be getting (hopefully) exactly what is listed, not anything more. So read carefully and call them to be sure you know what you are buying. The total is ~= to a good retail price for the parts alone. So, look at the balancing and assembly as "free". This makes me doubt how well these operations are performed. If it were me, I'd buy it balanced but not assembled. Have the balance checked and allows you to carefully inspect and measure all the parts to look for defects or out of spec parts. Then you can assemble it yourself or have it done by someone you trust if it's not something you can do yourself.

Remember, what they are describing is completely "bare" shortblock and thousands of dollars in parts are needed to make a complete shortblock out of it.

Nah, thats not too good to be true man. They are actually a reputable company based out of Nevada, I actually just bought my 383 shortblock thats internally balanced w/ 4340 forged rotating assembly from them. They are good people. Their prices are very reasonable, and they gurantee that there prices can not be beat. Give them a call on the telephone, and talk to them and see what they have to offer.
