I have a 78 straight 6 camaro, I am swapping a 350 out of a 79 vette into it. What else will i have to change besides the suspension. What gear ratio did the 78 sbangers come with?

 

Are you swapping the tranny as well? I am not sure if the bellhousing from the six will bolt to the Chevy block. I would venture to guess the front springs will hold for quite a while. I have the six cylinder springs in my 81 with a SBC in her. Those engine mounts are going to be a ROYAL PAIN IN THE A$$!!! Good luck!!

i swapped out a 6 for a sb on a 73. Motor mounts, Throttle linkage, fuel line, radiator (as well as mounts, hoses, fan shroud, etc). We left the 6 cyl springs in and it dropped about an inch. Bellhousing, fork, crossmember, mount (we went from a 3 to a 4 speed)
