Converter for my tranny. What stall to aim for!?

Converter for my tranny. What stall to aim for!?

As the title said: What size stall should i look for in my next converter for my set up?

The 67':
408ci small block stroker
510hp
TH400 Trans
4:10 rear gears (possibly smaller when upgrade rear)
10.5 tires
Mostly street, ocasional track
Goal 11.4 sec 1/4 mile on motor, 10's with spray

i'd say about a 3600.

Is that stroker motor based off a 350 or 400 block?

Sounds like the A-2 408 from T@L Engines. How's that motor working out for You? My A-1 408 made 505 hp and will be hear Monday.

288/294 duration. I'd suggest a stall speed around 3600-3800.

hope they work out for you. Promised 1 month from time of purchase.....5 months later i got it....
Never ran it yet waiting for trans.....

Yeah, They're a pretty busy shop but they shouldn't promise anything. I was told 6-8 weeks but it actually took almost 5 months. But I finally got my motor and it I hope it was worth the wait!
