i am tearing down a 350 that came in my 78 camaro but the casting numbers on my block say the motor is a 70 to 73 camaro block and i just want to find out what cam this guy had in it, so how do i find out what kind of cam this is and its numbers.

They're usually stamped or written on the front or rear cam bearaing face (on one end or the other of the cam).

Good luck identifying it, though. Unless someone happens to recognize that string of numbers/letters as a particular cam manufacturer it's gonna be tough to cross reference it. Sometimes the cam manufacturer will write their name on there, too, but not usually.
