A/C Firewall Stuff, removal

Can I just take off all that A/C crap attached to the firewall and get a blower assembly from a NON-A/C car to replace it?

Thanks

I'm glad you asked that because I'd like to do the same to my car but I'm not sure what all I would need. It appears I'll have to remove the fender to get to it all.

The hole on the firewall for the a/c housing is different than the one for the heater one, i dont know how it will will affect anything, i just went around that totally and got rid of heat and a/c.

Yes and no..

The heater core will have to be rotated (the outlets come out in a different place, and are much longer on the a/c cars)

The hole for the heater box is quite a bit smaller than the a/c hole, so you'll have to do some patching.

The heater box isn't a perfect match for the inside box, and the mounting holes are different, so you have to drill some new ones.

And yes, the inner fender and fender need to come off.

I've already got the front clip off (in preparation for a pne piece fiberglass front clip), so I am trying to get this done before the engine goes in
