Anybody know of a K-member built for this purpose? Any ideas or parts needed for this besides 81 and BBC?

If you use 350 mounts, it will sit about 1/2" higher than factory BB mounts. Not a huge deal, but add a high rise intake and it makes it hard to get enough air cleaner under the stock flat hood.

... but not from Unlimited. You can see some issues in the pic. I've adjusted it some so it's not as bad, but still not a very high quality product.

 

You'll also have trouble with an hei sized distributor with small block mounts, and possibly the brake booster. Lots of factory big block cars offset the engine to the passenger side an inch. Just something to think about.

 

also if its a gen VI block the oil pan might not clear , you might need an after market pan.

Mount? yes more than likely. Fit worth a damn? Not much of a chance. Check the brand of header you want to use and see if they specify original 70-72 mounts or small block mounts.

 

ive heard a bbc will mount up to sbc mounts pretty easily, u might have to notch out the mount for header clearance but that probably it
