I don't know the exact cost, but they are a little more than a 2nd gen in good shape of the same year. I have seen them range from $6000 to $10000+, depends if they are stock and how good of shape it's in, many I've seen are......Not very expensive compared to older muscle cars because they are dogs, but cost more than a good condition 2nd gen. Does that help you?

I think he means they're slow

I looked up an 82 vette since the web site doesn't go any older. With 120k miles, 4 speed, pre-selected options, and good condition, trade-in value is $2885.

Typically the older the car gets, the lower the blue book value is. My opinion is that cars that old, don't really fit in with blue book value since guys restore them, or swap engines, or do something that is desirable to muscle car enthusiasts

The mid-late 70s vettes have no value compared to the older ones, so you can find them in good shape for less cash. Yes, by dogs I mean they are slow, but so are our 2nd gens of this time period. If the car is modded, it's worth even less. Here are some local ads in my paper.............

1975 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY,
T-tops, 2nd owner, all original, L48, 350ci, auto, burgundy w/saddle interior, rebuilt trans & resealed engine, great shape, $8000 invested in mechanicals, asking $7900. (203) 488-7154. Branford

1976 CHEVROLET CORVETTE,
orange, 59K mi, leath int, pb, ps, tilt, air, pw, alloy wheels, 2 dr, 8 cyl, AM/FM cass, auto, T-tops, L48 motor, $6000. (203) 730-8294 or (203) 545-1724 Angelo (2X) pachungy@aol.com. Danbury

1977 CHEVY CORVETTE,
white, red interior, loaded, 12K orig mi, $14,500. (860) 342-4260 . Portland

Here is an example of someone on CRACK (might be all original, but the '75 models are teh suk!):
1975 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE,
Corvette yellow, 51K mi, L82 engine, 4 spd, all original, numbers match, asking $22,500. (914) 937-6423 days or (914) 937-5442 eves. Port Chester

A good condition 78 should run about 8-10K....exceptional ones might go for alittle more. ones in need of work can be had for less than 5k.

70 Cam Guy-There are no factory 82 Four speeds manuals....In 82, there were no option transmissions.

I highly doubt you will find any Sharks in "good condition" for $2885 unless you are REALLY lucky.
