I have heard they have a distict sound that is sweet,but have never heard them.I was wondering if anyone had any soundclips of them

 

Go to www.gardnerexhaust.com and go ot the sounds clips and click on the 69 Z28. And try not to smile too much while you listen to it over and over. Then listen to their big block exhausts and you'll still like the 69 Z28 the best. Let me know what you think.

 

Stock 302s have a big cam, lotsa compression and solid lifters. I drove a stock 69 Z28 (real) 4speed, black w/ white stripes and black interior. Damn near have to untangle my hard on from the steering wheel everytime I drive that thing I cant tell the difference between a stock 302 and a hi perf 327ci. And I have pretty accurate ears for engines.

The quality (i think thats what it was) sounded horrible.It just didn't sound good at all, on any of the cars.all of them just sounded really diffrent than any other cars i have heard.But yes the 302 could have a distict sound than the others.

 

You could tell the recordings were just done by someone standing next to the cars with either a microphone or a video camera. I still thought they all sounded pretty good, but the 302 sounds the best. Do you have decent speakers?

 

ya, i have great speakers, they are Polk speakers.

 

I've listened to a lot of recordings of exhaust and engines and they all sound about the same quality wise. Nobody seems to have good sound recording equipment when it comes to exhaust.
