You will need a way to drive the speedometer. The 4L60E is completely electronic and has not speedo cable provision. You can get a modified tailhousing that has the VSS and speedo cable drive from Jags That Run. Or you can get an electronic speedometer. Or you can use the Cable-X box that uses the electronic signal to run a motor that turns a speedometer cable.

The Cable-X box is around $290, the electric speedometer will run around $200, the tailshaft conversion from JTR runs $200-300 total. Keep you eyes open to Ebay for electric speedos, that's your best bet. If you go to www.bowtieoverdrives.com they have custom crossmembers that bolt in. I'm not sure if anyone specifically makes a shortened driveshaft, but I thought one of the Mustang shafts might fit perfectly. Better off getting yours shortened and balanced.

I haven't gotten to the point of getting working gauges yet with my car. I'm probably going to get the Cable-X box. I figure you can always shut the power off to it to keep the mileage down.
