Question 79 T10 clutch

I have a 79 camaro with a T-10 4 speed and it's gone through two clutchs just in this year. The 350 that's in it should be making close to 400hp. Whats a good clutch that won't eat my wallet alive?

I was told by a guy who used to run BB 2nd gens really hard that you can use a 12" clutch if you get a bellhousing, flywheel, starter from a 70s truck. Apparantly it will fit in a stock camaro too. I havent verified this yet, I will compare the bellhousings tommorow and see. If so you can buy some pretty stout 12" clutches. I will let you know.

Finally I remebered where I posted this . Could not remember where it was. Anyhow, I compared the clutch stuff and if looks like it should work. There area few different patterns for the transmission ears on the trucks so you have to get the correct one. I *think* the saginaw and tremec 3 speeds are the correct one but I am not 100% sure. I have a Sm465 and a Np435 bellhousing here and neither matched the ST10. Have a unknown 12" truck bellhousing here and it did match the ST10.
I am going to ask a friend what hes got for a clutch. Hes running a M22 in his truck so maybe he will know for sure. You will be hard pressed to bust a good 12" clutch with a 400hp 350ci.
I ended up going for a 11" centreforce dual friction.... hope it holds up.
