'67 Won't Start - Ignition problem?
Usually when i put the key in my 67 camaro and i turn it, the red ignition light turns on, and i then start the car by pressing a kill switch. But now, when i put the key in and turn it, the light doesn't turn on, and when i press the kill switch, it sounds like it's trying to crank, but it doesn't. I've checked for spark, and i didn't see any. It does the same thing when i disconnected the coil from the distributor... Im pretty lost as to what's causing my problem. Could it be my distributor? Any help is greatly appriciated
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
how can i check to see if it has power? im not familiar with this car at all... it's my father's car, im too used to my 90 iroc-z which has a totally different distributor/coil setup. thanks man
get a test light or a volt meter and ground the clamp or the black wire on the volt meter then touch the pick end of the test light or the red wire from the volt meter to both wires on the coil one at a time with the key on

Id start with the simple stuff first. battery, connections, and starter.
yeah, i checked the cables and everything... it's all connected right, and it's charged too. it'll act like it's going to start... but it never does... there's fuel in the fuel filter, but there's no spark comming out of the plugs. i think there might be a problem with the positive and negative wire that go to the battery... anyone have any ideas how i can check to see if that's the problem? thanks guys... i think this is electrical/ignition related
