60ft times, second gen cars..what times and what setups..??

I am wondering if some of you can post your 60fts and say what tire, what suspension mods like type of shocks,
shock settings if adjustable,etc...and only interested in automatic cars..I guess also what gears, what stall torque converter..tranny..
Just trying to figure out a good set up to get some great 60fts..no tubbed or 4 link cars either though.

My 60 ft times are low to mid 1.7s using et streets and high 1.7s with my sportsman pros.

I am still using the original multi leaf springs and have no problems hooking up (can pull the the front wheels) or having wheel hop.

I have no traction devices other than some heavy duty shocks on the rear (look like a coilover and got them from auto zone) and the sticky tires.

I have a TH350 tranny with 3000 stall converter.

The rear is a 10 bolt posi with 3.73 gears.

Runs low 12s and moves down the highway great.

- 383 (roughly ~350HP)
- TH350
- factory stall
- 3.42 posi
- Lakewood trac-bars
- Dunlop GT Qualifiers (street tires)
- car not 100% tuned........

.........best of 2.067 60' time (others of 2.083 / 2.100).

Beyond the 60' mark, the car was falling on its nose because the carb sucked (stock Q-Jet) and the engine was leaning out over 4500 rpm..................yet around home, it would rev out to ~6500?! My best 1/4 time was only 14.214.

I think that if I had the right carb (750 cfm most likely ) and with a little bit of "tweaking", the car probably could have cut sub-2.0 60' times, and probably 12's.
