So - how are you local guys doing for track times so far this year?

I managed a best of 12.15 @ 110.52 with a 1.68 60' on drag radials. Last night I only got 3 runs in at the street legal drags, but no better times to report. I ran with 3/4 tank of fuel instead of my usual 1/4 tank, and for some reason, even though I ground more weight off my governor weights, the trans was upshifting at less RPM than it was before when left in drive - 4400 RPM vs. 4900 RPM. Strange. I tried shifting manually also, but my times were still mired in the low-mid 12's. Going to try to get into the 11's at one of the next SL nights.

Erik - you need some gears man!

Yeah, gears (4.11's), stall (3000?), lose the front sway bar.... Lots of stuff to do. This thing should be able to run mid to low 12's considering my trap speeds. Fortunatly there's a whole lot of winter coming up, during which I'll not be blowing all my spare cash on gas/drag racing

For your combo, I would look at 4.10's and a 3500 10" converter. You have lots of power higher up in the RPM range as compared to a more torque-biased engine like what I run, so you need to tap into your power curve sooner with more gear and converter. You may also want to consider going with a 750 3310 Holley carb, or 750 double-pumper over that Edelbrock carb you have there.

Swaybar and drag shocks...

I also agree, lose the front swaybar. Drag shocks up front won't do much with the swaybar in place.
