Ya best buy seems pretty good but there have been a few things they were waaay too expensive. IE a moroso oilpan their costs was more than I could buy it for elsewhere. However they were $60 less for a clutch. I dont switch stores for a buck or two, but $60-100 is enough to do it. Best buy gets my first call though.

I think the best bet is get as many 2nd gens out to the local camaro meetings/cruises as possible. But you plan it, Ill be there. I know a few guys are still either working on their cars for a while yet and some are still hiding in their winter homes so plan it for summer. In the mean time Id suggest telling every 2nd gen owner you see about this board as well as nastyz28.com

Of course "rays" are great. They have a bowtie on them. I think the scene at the Java Hut in Langley is going to be very big this coming season. It will be good to see a # of second gen cars there.

...just saying hi
Hey cheers SleeperZ. Hangin here and over at GMforums. You need to take that Vette out to Langley this summer! Drop me a line anytime. It's good to see the interest alive in carb inducted chevys LMAO! This particular summer, here in the lower mainland of B.C. I did notice more 2nd Gen Camaros than in recent years. Possibly this car is generating greater interest insofar as availability is concerned and horsepower to $$ ratio! You can't beat the style when you look down the hood of a 2nd gen car now matter what year you choose. I respect all generations and have a fondness for the low production 5.7B4C RS of the 3rd gen. Too bad during the 4th gen run of production that the Camaro bit the dust. Everyone has a personal favorite of course. I like the clean style of early 2nd gen Z28s and all the sport coupes. But a nice, original, black with silver/charcoal stripe accent 80-81 Z-28 with aluminum wheel package really turns heads. Seldom do you see 74 and later Camaros in restored or restified condition although they are gaining in popularity. I also like the 77 Z-28 with silver paint scheme and orange/red stripes. Also remember seeing a GM car lot (in Winnipeg) full of 74's in white with the big, blocky Z-28 decal on the hoods. Gas crunch kept them sitting on the lot forever! I wonder what it will be like for someone to "restify" a microsoft motor car in 15+ years? Electronics could cost a fortune.

I too look forward to the big musclecar cruise-ins that seem to happen every night down at Java Hut. Its cool that its all domestic musclecar iron. What a neat place; right on a main drag, huge parking lots all around, and of course the Java Hut for a handy refreshement whilst walking down the rows of old Mopars and GM's.
Look forward to seeing all the guys on the 2nd gen forum here down at the Java Hut in the coming weeks.
