Are you sayng that in - say a Nissan 350Z - an accident would result in less loss?
Since you are from California I will overlook your ignorance. No one cares if a 350Z goes to the junk yard; just another wannabe *** sports car in the bone yard. When you loose a 67-69 Camaro that is a lose that cannot be replaced. When a Cuda or Challenger is lost they cannot be replaced they are gone for good.
It pays to take care of your muscle cars Norm.

I know the obvious replacement difficulty but saying that it is a greater loss is silly.

What the hell does my opinion have to do with me NOT taking care of My muscle car? Driving it daily is abusing it?

So Cal has a much better car culture than anywhere else - I dont know why you have to resort to insulting me.

What kind of idiotic statement is that?

I buy my 1st gen Camaros to drive them... not to let them sit in my garage, wipe them with a diaper and whine like a baby when they get dirty.

Just because you don't agree with us doesn't give you the right to bash us because we happen to actually drive our 1st gen Camaros.

What do you need to understand this situation: A freaking signboard. Let me put this in terms you can understand. When you use your 67-69 Camaro as a daily driver when there is other vehicles available to drive; you are taking unneccesary risk. You are taking on added risk with no probability of higher returns on your risk. Basicly you are being stupid. I like to drive my 69 SS to, but I am not going to be stupid and use it as a daily driver when I have my truck to drive. I can afford to lose the truck, but not my 69 Camaro. I reserve every right to bash you, if you do not like being bashed then report me to the administrator. Maybe if you are fortuanate they will ban me. By the way did I mention the fact that California is a dump.

**COUGH** Well, I did lose my 1st gen daily driver in an unfortunate accident sad to say. But honestly, as bad as it was (and it was bad), with enough money it could have been fixed. Maybe somebody did. There are people skilled at this and the sheetmetal among other parts are there for the those who can afford it. Its not going to matter weather or not its driven daily, if its on the street its at risk.
The experience of having that car and for the period of time that it was my daily driver (almost 10 yrs) is absolutely priceless. It is a valuable experience that gives me the aptitude and the will to do the things that I do with my 4th gen and the '68 I'm working on now.
Bottom line is that I do not regret it. You only live once.

There is no doubt; they are fun to drive quicksilver. I must disagree with you on the point of risk. The point I want to make is about probability. If you drive your camaro twice during the week versus five days a week the risk will be lower.

It seems to me that the point that some people like to drive their classics often, while other prefer to reserve the pleasure for times when it's less likely that an accident may occur has been made, and now it's just getting a little too nasty.

Having had more than one complaint, I'll lock this up now
