Post 1971 camaro pitman arm

I am looking the the power steering pitman arm, (I am upgrading from standard to power steering).
Also, I need to replace the driver side turn signal lamp, below the 'full' bumper.
Thanks,
Ed

I am doing the same on my 70, I have a box off an 86 Monte SS and the length is different, so I plan on doing some junkyard hopping. The chassis is the same thru 81, so I am assuming the pitman off any power steering camaro or bird should work.. or a 75 or newer Nova/Ventura..
If any one knows any different please correct me?
I put a newer box on my 68, and the power steering pitman off the 68 box bolted right up, just had to change hoses to the newer o-ring style, so I hope GM kept their usual interchangability!

I was under the impression that the Firebird and the Camaro, although both F body style, use a different pitman arm, (what's different, I don't know for sure). The A body, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, El Camino, use a 5" (hole2hole) pitman arm, with the splined socket at 1" (Camaro is 1 1/8th"), the centerlink connection is 9/16" (Camaro is 5/8"). ..so much for the "GM usual interchangability!"
...still looking for a 70-81 Camaro pitman arm, folks....

Re: 1971 camaro pitman arm

Hey guys, I'm a newbie with a pitman question. I did a search and found a few answers but I can't tell what size the BIG nut is on the pitman arm of my Blazer. I would like to just go and buy the one socket I need for now. Thanks in advance.
