XM Radio

I'm putting XM Radio in my Camaro in spring. I've seen the XM antennas, and they look like CRAP! I don't want my car to have a freaking tumor on the outide. Does anyone know of any antennas that go inside the car, or any other ideas?

Like you, if I get XM, I don't want the antenna on the outside. I asked Terk Antennas if I could put their antenna in the hatchback area and still get reception. They said the signal will penetrate glass, plastic, fiberglass, and anything except metal, so I think it would work back there. You may even be able to hook it in to the existing antenna connection on the rear fender.

Nope.

You can put it under the rear panels in the hatch, where the speakers are, shouldnt be a problem. Ive hid the antenna inside rear decks etc, with out a problem.

On my car there is an antenna disconnect in the spare tire area. I was wondering if it might not be possible to connect the am/fm antenna and the satellite antenna at this point instead of behind the head unit.

The only place you need to 'connect' the XM antenna is to the tuner. Yes you can hook the modulator up in the fender. Im not sure about our cars, but you can usually get 12vS, 12vC, and G at the antenna as well.
