XM Problems

For the past few months I have been having problems with my xm. It is almost like the signal is getting weaker. So weak that if I drive under electrical wires the signal goes static for a breif moment. I am wondering if this is a common problem when your antenna is going out or if it is a problem with the parts that the antenna hooks into. I guess I am just trying to get some ideas on how to diagnois the problem I am having. I have already called xm support and was told that there is no problem with the signal so it is something in my system. I have had this system for over 4 years now so it is the style that has two boxes that hook together and then go into the back of my head unit. Thanks for any help.

Does the signal strength meter drop on your XM display? If so, verify the cabling for the XM antenna is in good condition.
If not, Is the system connected to your head-unit through an FM Modulator, or through line-ins? If it's an FM Modulator verify the frequency it is broadcasting on and make sure your radio is tuned to the same frequency.
