What size amp?

2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch Z Subs

What size amp should I get for these to run them to a good amount without risking blowing them?

Thanks

I would recommend at least 300W RMS to each sub. Don't worry about blowing them. As long as you set everything up right and aren't stupid with the volume control the subs will be fine. The 10" Alpine Type-S I'm using is only rated at 200W but my subwoofer amp can deliver 600W

So you would say get like an amp between 600-1000 watts?

That would depend on the rest of the setup. If you're just running the HU's power to the main speakers then 1000W would be overkill.

Punch Z subs are only rated to handle between 150-250watts. I wouldn't put over 300 on the pair if you want them to last.

Thats not really an issue. My Alpine Type-S is only rated at 200W but my subwoofer amp delivers 600W

Most people don't have enough self control to put twice the rated power on a sub. The Z series are the lowest fosgate made. They are pretty weak and don't stand up well to abuse. The voice coils are small and won't take much heat. Alpine subs I believe are overbuilt. I had a few type R's they handled over power very well.
