What to do for a system in an 02' Z?

I heard that the stock Z's come with a amp already in them. Is this true, and if it is, will there be enough power to run either a 12 or a 15 inch sub, probably a rockford.
Secondly, is it possible to fit one sub in the side slots in the trunt, so I can still take off the t-tops and keep them in the trunk. Im looking for a little bounce, with not too much money spent. So if anyone has done this with 1 sub off of the stock amp, if there is one, how much this would usually run.
Thanks in advance.

The factory monsoon amp (frequently called a weak POS ) can hardly power stereo speakers, so powering a sub is out of the question. What you need is a line out converter for the HU, a quality aftermarket amp, and a stealthbox with a 10" sub. Then if you need more bass, put a stealth on the passenger side. I can help you out there since I make those. I noticed one for sale on this board. take a look
