If you can afford it, it's just amazing in sound and build quality. It is in category of Brax/Steg amps, which uses bipolar transistors in outputs instead FET's. Reliable as hell too. Just too expensive

I currently use all JL Slash series amps. These things are beasts, I have them putting out 1300watts to each sub. I've seen them put out close to 2000 too. For my F-body I will be running all Eclipse amps, great amps as well.

Thanks Valter, I heard years ago that they were good ones. So I bought one the other day but really had no idea if they were still considered good. An Impulse purchase .... thanks again, Bill

Best amp I've ever owned was the LINEAR POWER 3.2hv rated at 1000w, I remember hearing that the 3.2 stood for 3.2 HORSE_POWER. 1hp=1000watts. With a thd of .006 most amps of today can't even come close.

US AMPS is another amazing old school brand, this amps are easier to find than the Linear's but are just as clean. I've owned 3 of this amps.

O/S Orion and soundstream are other brands that make awsome amps. If you nevers tried any of this brands, I recommend that you do, If you want clean sound stay away from class D amps. Just my 0.2

Diamond Audio - Fairly reliable, good price point, tons of power (D7 series).

I have two DLS A3's sitting beside me, waiting to be installed. Let you know how those work out.
Have you heard a diamond ampin use? i bought one, because i had talked to some people and i heard no complaints. what do you think of them? it will only be powering a stealth 10 inch sub, so i dont have any worries about it. i was just wondering what you thought?

Diamonds amps are pretty clean and give out some good power.

I really liked my old Rockford punch amps. I ran 4 Polk db 12's off my 800a2 and they hit 157db.

It was years ago when I worked at Circuit City. They had an amateur SPL sound off sponsored by Circuit. I dont know what kind of meter, but they set it on my front passenger floor. It was a small tripod with kind of a boom style mic.

So go roll your eyes somewhere else "kid"! Maybe you can flex your internet musles for us!

Do they got a smiley for that? Lol, anyways 157 is LOUD, like that is unbearable to sit in a car. I've heard a daily car around 152 and the car looks like a fish out of water it flexes so much, the clips for his visors broke because there was so much pressure for them to move. And o ya that was a wall of 2 RE SX 15s off a IA 20.1, so I find it REALLY hard for that set-up to hit 157.

I know its hard to believe. I couldnt believe it myself. I am a firm believer in quality components. Everything I had was top notch. Alpine head unit, pheonix gold wires, Polk db speakers, optima yellow top battery, etc. This was firing up in the hatch of a 2 door blazer.

I also hit 150 with 2 MTX black gold 15's and Old school kicker ZR amps in my Rodeo. Put your components together properly and good things happen.

A guy I knew back then had a 95 Z with 2 kicker 12's and soundstream amps and it was just as loud as my rodeo, but never tested.
