Upgrading from 3 speaker bose system?

ok i just got some new alpine speakers, im using an aftermarket HU with some little adapter box i got a few years ago and everything works fine but i wanna replace the front bosy speakers with my new alpine speakers, are they just plug n play? ive heard u had to rerun ALL the wiring but ive also heard that that is BS and that you can hook up the remote power to a wire to turn on the bose amps like any other in which case these speakers should be plug n play, get back to me ASAP, thanks guys

get rid of that bose adapter and run the wires its not half as hard as it sounds, the doors are very very very easy to get wires through I have done many camaros. You could just plug it in but it woudl still be running through the BOSE amp which you dont want

You can do it either way. It is true that if you hook up the remote wire it will power the bose speaker amps. You might want to rewire if running aftermarket speakers though. I did it with the aft mark HU but still have bose speakers/amps.

My buddy has a 94 Bose and just has a HU and as far as i could tell the bose system powers up from the signal not a remote wire, I didnt conenct his remote wite and BOSE fires up and stock sub thumps... i could be wrong about this the more i think about it i bet i have the remote wire hooked up

Trust me, you do. If you hook the pwr ant by accident, all you get is the tuner and then they shut down when you select another function. I did it by accident once.
