Stereo Swap

I just got a 98 SS with the stock cd system, non Monsoon, and I am going to put by 93 Z system in it: 4 Boston CX5's, JVC HU and CD Changer, Hifonics Pegasus and Gemini amps, and a sub (my 15 box is too big so I will have to get a stealth). Here is the question. I had someone else wire up the system, a local shop, because I was too busy at the time. I know a little more now about systems, not much though, and am wondering what is the easiest way to get the wires through the doors to those speakers? I have the Peg. 4 ch. hooked up to the Bostons, so I will have to take out that wiring harness to use with the SS, and have to run new speaker wire to the new HU that I am going to have to buy for the Z. Also, how are the stock speakers with an amp? It does 50x4@4 ohms, 100x4@2 ohms. I believe I will swap though. Thanks!

there's a rubber grommet on the doors where the factory wires run through. That's where I ran mine and it's not that hard to get through. The driver side might be a little more challenging though but it won't be that bad. Since you are running new wires anyway, I would go ahead and replace the stock speakers. I think that was your last question about leaving the stock speakers in.

Thanks. Does anyone know if a JVC X99 CD changer will work on the stock Monsoon system HU? I looked over at ls1.com at their faq to see if anything was mentioned, but I had no luck. I am an idiot, I DO have Monsoon.
