some questions..

hey guys, I need a little help here.

1st. where can I get those rca pre-amp outputs that tap from the wire harness behind the stereo for a 95 camaro with the 5 spkr. bose system. I want to hook up a 500s I have laying around.

2nd. does anyone haves the "blue print" for a two 12" sub enclosure, the kind that fits inside the "trunk" and goes deep.

that's about it. I wanted to try here first before spending several hours searching the internet. thank you

I think your looking for a line out converter. Best buy or circuit city should have them for around $20.

As for the box, go to subthump.com They have boxes designed for the camaro, they are really nice. They sell for about 300-350 or so. They have a deep box too, I think you can get 1.5 Cu Ft of airspace per sub with the deep box. You should check them out!

You cant use a high low or line out (same thing) adaptor on the bose system. Reason being is because the factory amps are behind each speaker and you need to tap into the speaker level singal which is not possible becuase of this. You will either damage your factory amps/deck or the signal from the speakers back to the deck is two weak and the converter will go bad or just not work. I know this from experience. WE do not do that installation there. Good luck

yes, I've seen those, but the point is that I dont want to spend $300+S&H; I have done this before, but going trough the "design" stage is a PITA, besides, I have no idea on how to design/build/bolt down the top panel, so if there is someone out there, willing to give away the info, I will greatly appreciate it.

the other thing, I have seen those adopters, with two RCA's hanging out, for sale on some "cheap" web sites and I just cant remember. they are not the kind for sale at wal-mart, I bought one of those and it is still laying around out there in the garage.

thank you for your replies guys.

I have the bose system and the person that owned the car before me, hooked up a sub with one of those adapters. Just to let you know it can be done. It was hooked up in the spare tire well.
