some help pls
some help pls
Hey I bouht an Eclipse 2000 HU cd player and I'm not much of a savvy when it comes to installing electronics so I took it to this one shop that would doit for me for $ 35 bucks, and once the stock stereo was removed they said it wasn't going to work cuz I havd a bose system ????? and that I needed to buy new speakers. Any advice ????
Re: some help pls
just tell them to bypass the bose crossovers or you'll be double amping it and you will only be able to turn the volume up to 2 and it will be loud. so if your stoce bose speakers are still good, i'd just take it back to the shop and tell them to bypass the crossovers and your new hu will work.

yeah the shop was really pushing for new speakers but I ended up going to a different shop and they installed it for me and yeah its pretty loud I was wondering why? the people at the other shop had said it would blow my HU if they hook it up is this true ???

Re: some help pls
i'm not sure it will blow your hu. i had it in there wrong for about a week or two until i had time to find the crossovers and take them out of the loop. basicly 2 speakers go to each crossover. you just need to take out the crossovers, and the bose speakers work like regular speakers. i eventually, after a copule months, upgraded to kicker speakers. but my 4 bose speakers and the bass one worked fine with my aftermarket alpine hu.
